The Ijen Crater Trip Planner is an independent site run by Alexander B. He approves each page before it goes live.
Where the figures come from
- Park rules and closure days from the forestry ministry’s AyoKeTamanNasional booking site for TWA Kawah Ijen.
- Fees from the October 2024 tariff, as reported by detikJatim.
- Closures and reopenings from Indonesian news reports, dated in each table.
- Tour prices, ratings and inclusions read on the GetYourGuide and Viator listing pages.
- Travel times and place names from a Banyuwangi travel guide, and crater figures from the Ijen reference entry.
Every table names its source and the day it was read. All sources are on the sources page, and photo credits on the image credits page.
What the dates mean
“Checked” is the day a source was last read. Ijen’s fees, closure days and tour prices change, so each figure is re-read at least every six months.
How the site earns money
Some pages link to tours and hotels on GetYourGuide, Viator and Stay22. If you book through one, the site earns a commission at no extra cost to you.
